The physicians of the Medical Rehabilitation Group, P.C. represent years of medical training, academia, and clinical experience. Our physicians are board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Above all, the doctors of the Medical Rehabilitation Group fully understand and empathize with individuals suffering from pain or disability and have devoted their careers to maximizing the health, function and well being of patients.


Taha Jamil, M.D.
Dr. Taha Jamil is excited to be a part of the Medical Rehabilitation Group. A Kalamazoo native, he graduated from the University of Michigan, double majoring in Chemistry and Cellular-Molecular Biology. He attended medical school at Ross University and did his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, where he was Chief Resident his final year. He successfully completed a fellowship in Interventional Physiatry at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. He is board certified in PM&R with subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. His clinical interests are spine, sports, and musculoskeletal medicine. When not working, he enjoys exercising and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Harmony Sierens, M.D.
Dr. Sierens earned her masters degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University where she attended medical school. A Michigan native, she completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Beaumont Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. After completing her Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Michigan, she joined the faculty as Assistant Professor and Interim Division Chief. She served as medical director of the CARF accredited Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and as the Co-Medical Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Pediatric clinic.
Dr. Sierens is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. Her clinical interests include adult and pediatric rehabilitation, spasticity management, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, neuromuscular diseases and improving patients function and quality of life.


Steven Schultz, M.D.
After completing his undergraduate education at Michigan State University, Dr. Schultz received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1985. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan, where he also served as Chief Resident. He then joined the faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan, achieving the rank of Associate Professor and remained there until April 2008, prior to joining Medical Rehabilitation Group. He served as Chief of the University of Michigan Spine Program and Program Director of the Interventional Spine and ACGME-accredited Pain Fellowships.
Dr. Schultz is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, North American Spine Society, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and International Spine Interventional Society. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters, and has lectured extensively on a national basis. His clinical interests include interventional and non-interventional management of spine disorders, occupational injuries, sports medicine and performing arts medicine.
Dara Headrick, D.O.
After completing her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology, Dr. Headrick completed a Fellowship in Manual Medicine and received her D.O. at Western University Medical School in 1992. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan where she also served as Chief Resident. Since 1997, she has held the position of Medical Director of the Genesys Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, and serves as Section Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Genesys Regional Medical Center. She also serves as Associate Professor at Michigan State University in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at Genesys and serves on numerous committees including the Finance and Business Development Committee and the Stroke Quality Assurance Committee.
Dr. Headrick is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Osteopathic Association and the Genesee County Osteopathic Association. Her clinical interests include treatment of spasticity due to brain injury and stroke, manual medicine, pain management and improving patient function and quality of life.

Carlos Padilla, D.O.
After completing his undergraduate education at the West Chester State College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Padilla received his D.O. from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Padilla went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio of San Francisco. He also completed a fellowship in Pain Management at Penn State's Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Padilla is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Osteopathic Board of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the American Board of Medical Specialties (Pain Management). He is fluent in English, Spanish and German. Dr. Padilla is a retired military Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army Medical Corp.


Margaret Flesher
Margaret Flesher is the administrative and staff manager for Medical Rehabilitation Group, a position she has held since 1995. She attended Mott Community College and Baker College in Michigan. Ms. Flesher is a member of the Michigan Medical Group Managers Association, Michigan Medical Billers Association, Genesee County Practice Managers Group and Michigan Osteopathic Managers Group.
